Premiere Pro Cheat Sheet



Here’s a cheatsheet I use for premiere pro IMPORT: 1. Select “Assembly” from the top 2. Select “Media Browser” from the left 3. Navigate to video or media of your choice 4. Right click video or media and select “Import” CREATE SEQUENCE: 1. Select “Assembly” from the top 2. Drag media to timeline in bottom right or right click and select “New sequence from clip 3. Right click the sequence (from bottom right timeline section) and select “Set to frame size” CREATE TRANSITIONS: 1. Right click the line in between frames 2. Select apply default transitions COLOR CORRECTION: 1. Select “Color” from the top 2. Select “Basic Correction” from the right 3. Select “White Balance” 4. Next to WB Selector click the icon and then click on your clip where the whitest white is (everything else will auto adjust according to this) ADD AND ADJUST AUDIO 1. Select “Audio” from the top 2. Select “Media Browser” from the left 3. Navigate to and select media 4. Right click or drag to import 5. Adjust volume of each clip from the mixer to the left of the video preview ADD TITLE OR TEXT 1. Select “Graphics” from the top 2. Select the type tool from the menu left of the video preview (Large ‘T’) 3. Click and drag to set type frame 4. Type desired text 5. Drag clip edges from timeline below to set when it appears and disappears 6. Right click edges of clip below and select “Apply default transitions” for a simple fade in/ fade out 7. Options for size/ font/ alignment are on right side when text is highlighted EXPORT FILE (**IMPORTANT**) 1. File -> Export -> Media 2. Under Format select “H.264” 3. Under preset select “YouTube 1080p Full HD” 4. Click export If you follow these steps you will get a not-bad video. Not great, but not bad. I would say these steps will get you able to create a video and then look up tutorials for any questions you have from there. Premiere Pro also includes some tutorials.
