Sketchbook Saturday - My Dad and the Dragon

These are character designs for a children's book I want to make about a father teaching his son how to deal with dragons. They're two completely different characters and the dragon is a pretty clear metaphor for mental illness and the book would have actual advice like stay around friends, doing things that make you happy, exercising etc.

The characters are a knight and an astronaut, two noble stereotypes from two completely different time periods, but both with a common thread of personality.
